What we do

Chimney services, start to finish

Two of these are annual maintenance. The rest are what we find when something has gone wrong — and most of them started as something small that nobody looked at.

Chimney Sweeping & Cleaning

Creosote, soot, and blockages cleared out of your flue.

You might notice

  • Smoke pushing back into the room when you light a fire
  • A sharp, tarry smell from the fireplace, worst in humid weather
  • Black, flaky, or shiny buildup visible inside the flue
About chimney sweeping

Chimney Inspections

A documented look at the whole system, firebox to crown.

You might notice

  • You're buying or selling a home with a fireplace
  • There's been a chimney fire, a bad storm, or an earthquake
  • You're changing appliances or switching fuel types
About inspections

Chimney & Masonry Repair

Tuckpointing, brick replacement, and rebuilds — above and below the roofline.

You might notice

  • Crumbling mortar joints, or mortar you can scrape out with a key
  • Brick faces flaking, popping, or shedding chips onto the roof
  • Visible gaps, leaning, or separation where the chimney meets the house
About chimney repair

Chimney Liner Installation & Relining

A cracked or missing flue liner is a safety problem, not maintenance.

You might notice

  • Pieces of clay tile turning up in the firebox
  • An inspection report that flagged a cracked, gapped, or missing liner
  • A new furnace, water heater, or insert vented into an old flue
About liners & relining

Chimney Leaks & Waterproofing

We find where the water actually gets in, fix it, and seal the masonry.

You might notice

  • Water stains on the ceiling or wall beside the chimney
  • A damp, musty smell near the fireplace after rain
  • White chalky staining (efflorescence) on the brick
About leaks & waterproofing

Fireplace Service & Repair

Stuck dampers, crumbling firebox mortar, gas logs that won't light.

You might notice

  • A damper that sticks, won't seal, or won't open
  • Cracked or missing mortar joints inside the firebox
  • A gas fireplace that won't light, or that smells of gas
About fireplace service

Dryer Vent Cleaning

Lint is fuel. A clogged vent is a documented cause of house fires.

You might notice

  • Clothes taking noticeably longer to dry than they used to
  • The dryer or the laundry room getting unusually hot
  • A burning smell while the dryer is running
About dryer vents

Drone Chimney Inspection

$59 flat

We fly the chimney instead of climbing it. Nobody goes on the roof.

You might notice

  • A steep, slate, tile, or very high roof
  • You want to see the damage yourself before approving work
  • Storm damage you need documented for an insurance claim
About drone inspection

Not sure which one you need?

That's normal, and it's not your job to know. Describe what you're seeing and we'll tell you what it points to — including when the answer is “that's fine, leave it.”
