There's a reason chimney work has a reputation problem. You can't see your own chimney. You can't get on the roof, you can't see up the flue, and when somebody comes down off your ladder and tells you that you need four thousand dollars of masonry, you have almost no way to know whether that's true.

We built this company around closing that gap. Every job we do gets photographed — before and after, inside the flue and on top of the stack. We show you the pictures standing in your living room, we point at the thing we're worried about, and you decide. When the honest answer is “it needs a sweep and nothing else,” that's the answer you get, because we'd rather have your call next year than your money today.

Being family-owned is the practical reason that works. There's no commission structure pushing a technician to find problems, and the person who inspects your chimney is the person who'll be back for it in twelve months. We work in Ohio and in California, and in both places the standard is the same one we'd want at our own houses.
